She won't receive a PR card until some weeks after she lands. Whichever last name is on her passport, is the name that will be put on her COPR. If you want to change her name once the PR card arrives, you'll have to send in for a new one.

Yes, it says on your COPR (do you have it already?) that you will sign it in the presence of an officer once you land, either at a border crossing, international airport, or at an immigration office by appointment. COPR is enough. You also need it for getting things like health insurance...

I would urge you to send the document before they request it. Things seem to be sped up for Jan-present applicants but a document request always has the potential to slow your application down because it'll go back into queue to wait for the document and then it has to wait for review from a...

I see your application was at Ottawa. If you're an American citizen, we don't get passport requests. You don't need a Visa to enter Canada so they don't need your passport to put one in. Once you get your COPR in the mail, you're good to go. You will receive a PR card in a couple months time...

Go to your nearest Service Canada. Make sure to bring your COPR and some form of identification, like your passport. I believe that's all you need. :)

I received my COPR in the mail today!!! :D And just to give a little input, I never went "in process" on e-cas, just went from application received to DM.
