Most HRs have no idea about the technical aspects of the work done. I'd assume they'd forward any queries about the technical work to someone capable answering them such as your supervisor / manager. So, I wouldn't worry too much about that.

See what the CIC says on the document checklist form - section 12. It says for work experience letters - copies, with the following in parenthesis (originals may be requested later by an officer). So, for the application copies should be fine

@ nskatcv, You have posted a picture with instructions on how to fold a paper. Here are a few responses / queries that you'll probably get on this forum for that post: I) OMG, I didn't fold the paper like that. Will I be rejected? nskatcv please advice! II) OMG, I forgot to fold the paper...

Here are some of the supporting documents that I suggest you attach to your application if you have them. 1) Pay stubs 2) Employment contracts 3) Tax returns (In my country, the tax return mention the name of the employer with whom the tax payee worked for) 4) Social security contribution...

Here's all that you need to know about medicals if you haven't yet still sent in your application: YOU DON'T NEED THEM AT THE APPLICATION STAGE. Your application will first be inspected by a CIC officer in NS and if he/ she deems you to be eligible, you'll receive a PER. Once your case is...

Read the post by future_canadian. He claims that he got a PER and that he didn't submit any document other than his reference letter. So, keep calm & don't panic. There's at least one other person who had done what you've done and has been successful in getting a PER. In the future though...

First off, don't panic. I am yet to read of a forum member who's been rejected because he/she didn't provide additional supporting documents (work contracts, pay stubs, etc) that established the authenticity of the work experience that the applicant is claiming. For future reference, please see...

Here's what I think: CIC is looking for two things: 1) Whether the job that you claim to have performed is bona fide (genuine) 2) Whether the duties that you performed "substantially" meet the job description as described by HSRDC The first criteria they establish by the volume of evidence...

A friend of mine got her FBI clearance recently. When she applied, the FBI website said that the bureau estimated average processing time to be 25 days. That was a very accurate estimate- Her application was indeed processed 25 days after it was submitted!

@ Oscar, I'm truly surprised at the number of applicants received in the NOC 1111 category (Auditors and accountants). Anyone who's in the business field knows that auditors and accountants are dime a dozen. Pretty much every company has an internal auditor and big 4 firms (Pricewaterhouse...

@ Oscar, Can't disagree with what you said. I just read a comment from a member who did the math for the "hottest" NOC of them all (1112). According to him/her, the number of entries on the spreadsheet for 1112 could be a minuscule 18% of all applications. In retrospect, I'm shaking my head...

Good analysis, mate! So, for these "hot" occupations the spreadsheet is probably capturing 1/4th to 1/3rd of the actual number of applications received by CIC. On to the very big question: when is the latest update as of? Is it as of the 4th of May as the website is showing?

Shah, I don't quite understand what you're saying. Are you saying the numbers posted are as of May 1st???

Excellent observation, mate! Yes, the footnote has, too, been updated. It used to read May 04, 2013 all this time. And my heart started racing when I noticed NOC 1112 and 2174 had both received nearly 200 applications by the 4th!

0013 is your nominated occupation, then. CIC will check to see if the reference letter that you provide strongly matches the duties typically performed by a NOC 0013 as described by the HRSDC. If, as you claim, the reference letter provided by your employer matches 80 percent of the duties...
