While the disputes here are largely fueled by frustration and aren’t worth having, you are incorrect in suggesting that the two streams aren’t in competition. With a fixed number of invites in play every year and a choice available to the organizer between two streams to award them to, it’s a...

Canada has quite clearly been trying to provide more pathways to PR for temporary residents who are already in the country. The minister said as much, and it makes sense considering the pandemic and the landed immigrants target numbers for this year. I guess they might have tested the waters...

Yup, info sharing was completed for my application. In the GCMS notes, one can read the details - mine shows that info has been shared with US, Aus and NZ. (I have a valid US visa, not sure if that’s why this happens).

Mine was dated 18 days before submission. Wasn’t an issue. My instinct would be to keep it within the same month.

btw @Windsor37 I laughed a lot now thinking you might actually be Prince Harry, trying to migrate to Canada.

The status bar seems far from accurate these days. If you are lucky to be in visa offices that are working swiftly (like Accra), your application will likely be approved when the status bar is at 60-70%. And if you end up in Ottawa, the bar will reach 100% without an approval for most...

Sure, I had summarised my French experience in this post here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ray-of-hope-fsw-1.690705/page-102#post-8708344 Hope it helps.

Anywhere from weeks to several months. There's no way anyone can predict this. Each file moves at its own pace depending on the workload of the VO, the case officer etc. So we can merely wait and watch.

I have exactly the same AOR date as you, the same eligibility pass date, the same VO, and I got the same status from the agent couple of weeks back. There's nothing more to do at this stage, we just need to wait it out till they complete the rest of the process. Profile won't show any change for...

French vs Canadian Masters' is a very subjective call I think. I used French to improve my score from 458 to 474 at the age of 34. But not everyone is comfortable learning a new language - it's an entirely different skillset from comprehending a STEM course for example. And I had a backup plan...

Usually there aren’t draws during the christmas break, and a one-week gap draw is done in order to anticipate this. So it’s likely that the next draw is in early January.

^ And now we know. 469 is the point where 2 week's inflow meets outflow at 5,000 invites. But keep in mind that this will be dynamic as the program demand will keep increasing. So 469 is likely to become 470 in a few weeks even with regular draws and so on.

I can see multiple PPRs for those with Nigeria as country of residence (and I assume Accra VO) and September AOR in immitracker. Good job by that VO!

This draw is great news not just to everyone who got the ITA, but also to those who are seeking to understand the pool inflow in two weeks. Finally we have the backlog of several months fully cleared till 469. If we get a draw now after two weeks, we’ll see exactly what the two week inflow...

I just checked your posts and saw that I have almost the same milestone timelines as you. FSW with AOR Sep 17, MEP Oct 21, BIL Oct 23. And what I assume is my IP1 was on Nov 6 (background check status changed to ‘We will send you a message’.) But the change back to ‘We are processing your...

Half of 2.8% is probably too generous a share for those who are bilingual. I’d estimate it to be 20% of 2.8% at most. The additional ITAs granted due to the points change would be trivial, barely enough to increase the CRS by even 1 point. Even a super high estimate of 10% of all ITAs last...
