Do you know how difficult it will be to get a visitor visa considering my wife will not be working? I know this is a Canadian visa forum, but perhaps someone may know about this... FS

That makes sense, but for my wife, she will be a stay-at-home. Not sure what exactly we need to prove. We only want to be able to go over to do some shopping...only a day trip. What about my other question about where to get the visa - home country or at the US Consulate in Canada? Thanks, FS

Do PRs need to apply for the visa, say to the US, in their home country? Or can you do it from within Canada? How does having PR status in Canada make it any easier in getting a visa (for the US)?? Thanks, FS

It would be much better to have the PR card, as the process to obtain a travel document is quite annoying, i.e. more paperwork to submit, time, expense, etc... FS

I know, but it didn't seem that anyone was interested in what we were bringing in at the time of landing. Perhaps when we fly back in September they will check what items we are importing and make sure everything matches the stamped B4. Honestly, I don't think they will bother. FS
