Bro, people from August are still waiting, So don't worry you are good. Current waiting time for AOR is 17 weeks, so if you dont hear back anything in 17 weeks, you can submit online form.

Most probably they will send back your application.

I do not know anyone who applied on or after August got AOR, I know lots of people who applied in JULY got the AOR, But not a single person who applied in AUGUST or after got the AOR.

This is all luck, I know someone who applied for CSQ in JAN 2017 and she is still waiting for the CSQ, So you can Imagine.

SOWP(Spouse Open Work Permit) is best option for you, If you have enough proof to show your marriage is legal, there should not be any problems.
