I am not sure about the validity of the passport, but surely they will not issue visa beyond passport expiry date. So it should be much easy for you to renew and send a copy of new passport as soon as you get it.

You do not require any documents for change of address. You just have to send an email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca quoting your application#, UCI, first name, last name, DOB and the new address and new contact number

Received reply from CPC in less than 12 hours. Two changes from the original request 1) I was requested to submit 2 photos for each family member 2) Earlier I was given 60 days, and now they say I will have to submit with in 45 days.

It is different from case to case. There are people who received PPR with in two days of Medicals Received status and there are people waiting for months. In my case PPR was issued after 45days of Medicals received status.
