You are not eligible to apply under CEC if the 3 months of work experience you mentioned above do not quality for CEC requirement. You should have atleast 1 year of full time work experience.

You dont have to stick to the same job. Your application is only assessed based on the experience you submitted. I myself changed my job after submitting the PR application, then notified CPC-O about my job change. I do not have any issues.

In my case my child documents were added the same day the documents were received at CPC-O. May be its just that as all documents are in order they did not notify you. Just try to drop an email to CPC-O, asking for confirmation on if your child was added to your application.
