Yes you do, make sure to declare that income (hopefully you have some proof in case of audit like invoice / bill of sale) on your next tax return though.

That’s the point though, you DONT have to live in the US to earn the US salary. You can live anywhere and earn a US salary assuming your employer allows remote work and assuming TN/H1B really don’t have any conditions on where you live.

You don’t have to live in Canada, you could go anywhere assuming it is possible.

Wow, this is really possible? You can be on an H1B in the US, getting paid a US salary and "travel"/live somewhere else? In this case, why would anyone take a Canadian tech job, US tech salaries are way higher.
