Full time work after study but before applying PGWP

Oh shoot sorry to hear that. Yeah, that would make sense.

Full time work after study but before applying PGWP

I think universities are now also doing their due diligence to make sure international students are up to date with the rules. it looks like most of us making this mistake graduated right around the time this new rule took effect so we were going by the former rule.

Same Employer Before and After Studies

Thank you! I wish you all the best too. It was a one-page letter saying I would never knowingly jeopardize my chances of permanent residency in Canada and that I am very sorry. I detailed the period of unauthorized work like (these are example dates and scenarios) December 26, 2017: Received...

Full time work after study but before applying PGWP

Yeah, it looks like a lot of people made this mistake. I think officers are mostly forgiving if it is a couple of weeks. I only found out it was unauthorized when preparing my PR application and I made sure I declared it then. But, I had this work experience listed on my PGWP application 3...

Congratulations for being so close! If a final decision is made on your file, you can see it under "Assessments" which is normally in the first couple of pages. In that section it lists the decision regarding Eligibility, Criminality, info sharing...etc. At the bottom of that list, there's...

Join the club haha I'm also under covid pace. The Ottawa office is apparently working at a very reduced capacity due to covid. The call agent said they have no approximate time of when they will all return to the office. He said they are taking it one day at a time... They did an all-program...

Same Employer Before and After Studies

I worked for about 2 weeks between getting written confirmation of program completion and applying for PGWP. I too didn't know this was illegal. I wrote a letter declaring this period of unauthorized work and apologizing for it. My PR is still being processed, so at least it was not an outright...

    Job Offer

Unfortunately, no. You need LMIA to claim those 50 points. Your current work will not write you a reference letter for the one year you worked there?

We're in the same stage! I've been waiting for a final decision since April 15th. Hopefully the full staff will be returning back to the office and can resume normal operations soon :)

The "NOTES" section in the last few pages is where you get a lot of the useful information :) You can also see here if you've passed your security stage. The notes are organized in order of most recent activity so "notes.1" will be what they worked on last. note #1 for me says "***PACE*** FINDEC...

Looks like your security is already passed. Do you see "FINDEC" in your GCMS notes? That means everything is passed and you are now awaiting final decision :)

    Declined an Invitation

Do not withdraw your profile. Wait until you are invited to do your medicals. I believe PCC is only valid for 6 months (not sure), unless you don't go back to the country since your PCC has been issued.

    Declined an Invitation

It makes sense you declined your ITA. I agree with Shomaro above. You have to meet 1 year upon ITA, not just your e-APR. Don't lose hope, just work on increasing your IELTS scores and find additional ways to increase your CRS points :) Good luck!

So happy to hear they are now looking at those applications stuck with expired medicals! Here's an update, @vidhi3988! Do you know which VO your application is at? Thank you!

That's a great update! So you didn't have to do your medicals again? They just extended it? :)

Is your open work permit a PGWP? If so, just wanted to let you know you have the option of applying for Bridging Open Work Permit which allows you to stay here and keep working until you hear back about your PR.

Has anyone received COPR from Ottawa? Seems like Sydney is pumping these out, and Ottawa is on pause :(
