Moving all your money to canada. How to do it?

I would suggest to keep in US as much as you can unless you are trying to invest in Canada. IMHO, banks in Canada aren't that great at all. Xoom seems to be giving pretty good rates as well for exchange. I feel that Tranferwise is only good if you are transferring more than 10K at a time.

    RIV inspection check engine light

Should not be a big deal. When you get Out of Province inspection, just get that fixed. Good luck!

Working remotely from Canada in US company as Canadian PR

You probably know that all the attorneys are exploiting all the loopholes and is the reason why they want to get rid of H-1B (especially for Indians). :P

I guess it took somewhere around 3-4 weeks to get my PR card. I've got my photos as Walgreens. I was asked to redo the photos since my photos with the original application were rejected for PR card. Hope this helps.

Working remotely from Canada in US company as Canadian PR

I have no idea. I've quit my job and moved to Canada. I am intending to find a job in Canada rather than trying to travel to US every month at this point of time.

Working remotely from Canada in US company as Canadian PR

Each case is different and don't assume that you can follow someone who has been the same situation and it will work. I have seen people doing this and messed up. IMHO, using H-1B to travel once a month or so will raise flags in the future - not necessarily your next H-1B extension but future...

Best way to move funds from USA to Canada?

Well, this is my salary that I saved. When I was doing taxes here in US every year, we had to report to IRS that if we hold any money in another country. So, wondering if I should do the same when I move to Canada and have to pay any taxes for my savings.

Best way to move funds from USA to Canada?

Xoom seems to be better depending on the amounts you are transferring. @Hurlabrick Should this money be reported to Revenue Canada or Customs if we are doing this after settling in Canada?

    PPR is pending

What do you mean by you cross deadline? The usual time that IRCC gives is just an estimate based on the previous average timings. There are many people on this forum, who have been waiting for 12-14 months. So, please continue with what you are doing and your PPR comes at the right time if...
