Yes, you can do that if you can go to any international Airport in US that has Mobile services and ask them to get you a Lyca Canadian SIM even though you are not travelling to Canada.

Don't go by 416. Choose by location (Toronto, Vancouver, etc). That way you would get a Canadian number for sure. At least that's how I got in the past. Good luck!
