COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

I called CBSA and they confirmed multiple times over the phone. There contact info is here https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/bis-sif-eng.html Their website lists this info: Arriving from the United States If you are a foreign national arriving from the United States, to enter Canada, you must...

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

People coming directly from the USA would be allowed. So you have to cross land border or have a flight straight from USA. I confirmed this with CBSA. If you intend to quarantine, the immigration officer doesn’t care if you return back after you are PR. At the time of landing just present your...

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

Since they considered COPR before March 18 as essential, they would also consider after March 18 as essential. My travel date is 14 July. Expiry date is 6 August.

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

I am in the same situation. US visa expires in July. But either case - traveling to move permanently to Canada is considered essential. Otherwise the people moving that have copr before March 18 from India, wouldn’t be allowed.

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

Here is the screenshot of the email I got. https://photos.app.goo.gl/YxUz1QcRxjTtu6FF8 We had the same experience. After you explain their own rules to them, they understand. But the people answering phones don’t know much info.

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

I had raised a webform to IRCC regarding this and they replied with the below. It clearly says that we are not allowed to travel if COPR is issued after March 18 AND are outside the United States. Inside the United States, the March 18 rule is irrelevant. Thank you for contacting Immigration...

Rumors about an executive order that bans the entry H1b holders around.

It seems like if you are still in Windsor on June 24, you will not be able to enter until December 31.

Rumors about an executive order that bans the entry H1b holders around.

But it says the order does not affect people that were in the USA on June 24. So if I am here 2 days from now, I wouldn't be affected right? Wouldn't I then be exempt from this restriction when leaving and coming back? Or would they deny h1b stamping even though i was already in US on June 24?

Rumors about an executive order that bans the entry H1b holders around.

I understood the same. If you are already in USA, it does not affect you... But what about if you are on OPT in USA and company has applied for H1B? Would it impact those? If not, after approval of H1, can they leave and come back on H1? Asked our lawyers too.. will post back.

Copr Expiring June 20th, planning to do soft landing around 15th May from US ...by land or by flight..?

Sounds good! Please share what they say. If they mention March 18 rule then you can tell them what you’ve read on their website. That the March 18 exception is only for people coming from OUTSIDE the US. Also, the CBSA is open 24hrs, 7 days a week

Is soft landing possible? I thought everyone was required to quarantine upon landing... also, I have called CBSA and they’ve informed me that immigration services may not be available at all times, so once you enter not sure if you’ll be able to get everything done in 1 day. I’m planning to...
