Copr Expiring June 20th, planning to do soft landing around 15th May from US ...by land or by flight..?

Hi Guys, I am approaching my copr deadline soon, i am in US (Texas),. Few questions:

1) Can I travel from the US to Canada around May 15th for doing soft landing
2) Do I need to do self-quarantine if I don't show any symptoms (does self-quarantine applied if you enter by road.?)
3) How do i making landing appointment

1. Yes
2. Yes you need to self-quarantine no matter what. Asymptomatic people can spread the virus.
3. No appointment needed. Landing is done when you enter Canada.

My COPR came on May 5th , expires on June 21 my lawyer says u can still go ,doesn't matter.
We told him bout March 18th rule.
He says no that doesn't apply for u , u can still go.

He gave us number to call border service , Because we have to travel by land.

I called the number , they ask few details and then said u can't come because of March 18 rule!

Don't know what is going on.?

because my PPR came on March 9th so he is saying u can travel.
So I don't understand which date to consider and to plan my travel or not.
My COPR expires on July 21.

Can you be clear about the issue date of your COPR, doesn't matter when you received it, what is the date it was issued? Regardless of what your lawyer says if it was issued after the 18th March you cannot travel just sit tight and await further instructions from IRCC. If it gets close to the expiry date email IRCC and providing your medical result was normal you will get an automatic 6 months extension to your COPR. Currently if you are allowed to travel you have to quarantine for 14 days on arrival in Canada so technically flag poling can't be done at this time.

Yeah, did you actually travel? Did you receive any email from IRCC saying it's okay to travel if your PPR was before March 18?

Here is an exerpt from CBSA website. If you are from the USA, there’s only 3 criteria. You can go no matter when your COPR was approved. Did you travel yet?

1. Essential reason for travel
2. No symptoms for COVID-19
3. Quarantine plan for 14 day

For outside the US, you have to be exempt for some reason, one of them being the March 18 rule.
