I agree that you're in direct touch with the officer handling your case. Once you've send copies of Canada Post receipt etc and still the docs are nowhere to be found, I'd rush to send another set of signed copies along with the officer's name (if you've it on the envelope) and a copy of...

Congrats!!! Hopefully there aren't too many Nepal Bandhas to hold up your passport delivery. Would you please let us know the courier they're using when your parents receive it. I'm debating whether to have my wife drop off her passport (if we ever get a PPR) at Canadian Cooperation Office or...

I know it's easy for me to say, but have no doubts about it. If they'd any concerns they'd have asked for more documents, interview etc etc and voice them in thousands of different ways. This just means positive decision. Let us know when your parents receive the passport. In the meantime, take...

Thanks for your reply. Mine is through ND as well. It's been nearly two months since my file got transferred but no PPR or any other words besides 'Medicals received' update over a month back. Then I heard from a guy yesterday who has been waiting for over two months after file transfer to ND...

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone is aware of cases where eCAS went to processing (for applicant post sponsorship approval) before getting a PPR. I thought they started processing only after they received a passport. I would appreciate answers from anyone who has come across something similar.

I have a similar question. I know a guy from Nepal, who hasn't gotten a PPR yet but his eCAS shows medical results received and In Process as of May 5th (he got approved on March 16 so it's been a while). Is anyone else aware of cases where processing happened before they requested passport?

Nothing so far. 48 days since transfer and counting. With the daily bandhas and strikes, I don't know how it'll make it to KTM.

It is both. They wouldn't mail it to US, for what I imagine would be legal reasons, and the fact that they emailed you implies they're finalizing your app and double checking where to mail your passport. Good luck.

My file was transferred on April 5th, but haven't gotten a PPR yet. I don't think there is logic, or one that I can think of, behind the PPR request timing.

My file was transferred to ND on April 5, it's May 15 (1 month 5 days) today and we still haven't gotten our PPR. It's anyone's guess when they send PPRs, but for most it's between 2 and 3 weeks. Hang in there for a week more and you should have it.

No. Not yet. It's been 35 days now. I hope I hear something next week. I think they take long to request PP for Nepalese compared to Indians, but the turnaround is quicker for us (at least I hope). What's going on with yours? Any updates?

I was approved as a sponsor and the file transferred to ND VO on April 5. A week or so after that I saw Medical received added to e-cas. Over a month now, still no PPR. Does anyone know what are some of these reason why they might delay sending a PPR?
