Like someone else said, it is illegal to send an Indian passport across international boundaries through mail/courier etc. Even if you send it, CHC will NEVER return it back to USA and ask for an Indian address to send you to (if they feel nice and decide not to harass you for sending it across...

Thanks for that. Yes, we do have very similar timelines. You haven't received a PPR in nearly two and a half months. I wonder if you're non-Indian (Nepalese, Bhutanese) or currently live outside India.

Let us hope. Could you please provide your timeline as you can't put anything on the left side. Also, what is your Visa Office?

I know one person, in real life, who had similar experience. His went 'In Process' on May 5th and they asked for his passport a couple of weeks later. I think he finally sent it in early June as there were strikes in Kathmandu disrupting courier services. I'll call him today and ask if there's...

Don't send you Passport to CHC via mail/courier anything, unless you're in India. It is ILLEGAL to send Indian passports across borders through mail. Also, CHC-ND WILL NOT send your passport back to US. I am aware of a case where a Nepalese citizen living in US (kinda like you) had sent her...

Mine went in Process on June 5 but I still haven't received my PPR. My application was received on Jan 19 and I was approved as a sponsor and file forwarded to VO on April 5.

Thanks for your best wishes. I suggested my lawyer to email ND, but she's adamant to wait one more month before emailing them. As for me, I can't wait any longer. Sure if you'd be kind enough to PM me his email, I'll drop him one. So have you received your passport yet? Or hae you already moved...

Is your wife's home address in India? I thought they asked Indians for PP within two weeks and they haven't sent a PPR to us is because my wife is Nepalese (as they don't like asking for cross-border passport unless it's time). As for the mailing address, it's been showing our lawyer's address...

Finally, some changes on our ecas. It saying 'we started processing on June 5.' Still no PPR, but this certainly is a welcome change after waiting for more than 2 months for any update.

As far as I know, the medical results are sent to VO (as was in case of my wife). In our case, Medical results received started showing up almost two weeks after I was approved as sponsored. My deduction is that, VO office updates the medical results part after it receives the application.

That's great. So, the CCO was good for something after all :-) Yeah, it's been 61 days since my file was transferred. If I don't see any movement by the end of this week, I'll email them and might even get my MP involved if it crossed 2.5 months mark.

Did you call that Canadian Cooperation Office? Someone I know got their PPR from there this past Wednesday. She was told to fedex the passport but call back at CCO to pick it up. You should really try calling them on Tuesday afternoon (their time) or have your parents call them. I think ND mails...
