about the toll free number... different agents have different opinions about this processing time @ Buffalo, I have talked to two of them (three months apart), one said "after AOR", the other said "when you applied". So... there's no correct answer. But even if there is, each case is unique.

Per my conversation with CIC, you don't have to withdraw the old application to start a new one. I mean two applications can happen concurrently. Besides, it is unclear how they count the 21 months. Does it start from the time when application is submitted to Buffalo? Or after the 2nd AOR is...

I called the 800 number of CIC, they told me that we can apply under as many categories as we want, all the cases are independent. So I don't see any reason why you shouldn't try CEC. Did your lawyer explain why she didn't recommend it?

:( I understand your feeling totally. To put whom on the priority list is such a mystery. I have also emailed them multiple times about my 2nd AOR. The reply is something like "you will get it when you get it." At least it's sort of a confirmation that "your file has not been lost".

It's definitely something, I haven't got my 2nd AOR and I still have my address shown...

Hello everybody, I have all the other documents ready for applying under CEC except for the police clearance which (as I was told) could take up to 4 months to get. Should I send my application now and submit the police clearance later on? Has anybody done this before? Thanks for your help...

Totally agree! I haven't even received the 2nd AOR yet. It's been 40 weeks! I know many people who applied on later dates got their AORs way ahead of me. I am getting frustrated.
