I received a letter from CIC yesterday, asking me to provide finger prints. I am a bit confused, because my spouse (the sponsor) hasn't received AIP yet...
Is this normal to have been asked for finger prints before AIP?

Don't worry, my ecas changed to "In Process" three months after they received my application (I submitted my application in Nov, 2011 as well). So just wait a few more days, I am sure yours will be in process soon!
congratulations blacknoon!
Just want to be sure if I understand you correctly:
You sent outland application in Aug 2010, and sent inland application in Mar 2011. When you submitted your inland application, you didn't redo your medical?
I am here to amuse people. This morning, I received my second AOR from the buffalo office, after 15 months of waiting!
For most of you, it's more like a 3 months' wait.
So I guess my long journey of 25months will start now?
Just now my wife received an email from CIC saying that "This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2011/11/21."
There is no update in the e-cas though.
Can someone please advise how many month do I...
