Our file was only a few weeks before finishing when Buffalo closed end of last May. It's been almost 3 months since then. I think all transferred files get in at the end of the queue in Ottawa before they get assigned to the officers who have to deal with their existing cases first. All...

I was wondering the same. Could that be all the offices are just busy with the student visas now for the September semester and the spousal ones are getting ignored? :'(

We applied early June 2011. With Buffalo being closed, not sure that timeline still applies? Sure the next timeline they'll post will be much longer than 12 months with almost no activities the past 2 months for applicants from U.S. Not counting Stage 1 sponsor approval, our timeline has passed...

Thank you computergeek. We had gotten GCMS twice before Buffalo closed. We were going to wait till mid of the month to request a 3rd GCMS but not sure which VO to put down now - Ottawa, LA, Seattle, Detroit or NY? What's ATIP?

Ours was scheduled and confirmed for early June 2012 but cancelled by Buffalo. They told us that our file was being transferred and wait to be contacted. It's been 2 months and we don't even know where our file is. Do you know where your file is?

Thanks for your detailed note 2joys! We have ordered GCMS twice when our file was with Buffalo. From the first one we found out we were in queue for an interview with a little "concern note". We sent out some additional papers to address their "concerns" before we ordered the second set of GCMS...

We were hoping Seattle which is closer for us. Do you think files go to Ottawa first and then to LA? Which office should we put down if ordering GCMS notes?

What about for non-American residents living in the United States? Where would their files be ending up as a Canadian visa needs to be granted if there would be an interview in Ottawa?

It's been almost 2 months since Buffalo closure and their "file transfer"(could have physically walked from Buffalo to another office!!!). Wondering anyone out there hear anything? If these transferred files will be placed at the end of the queue with the new office?

Same with our file. We were at the very end too. Buffalo cancelled our June 12 interview(confirmed back in March 2012) at end of May, 2012 by email and letter telling us to wait to be contacted by new office. Nothing till today. We filed early June 2011. So frustrating! >:( Did you try to call...
