Interview in June with Buffalo amid its office closure

I contacted my MP's office and got only: file is in Ottawa waiting to be reviewed(we already know that!). Can do another inquiry if we don't hear anything in 3 months! >:( I was wondering how did you find out your file was transferred to LA from Ottawa on Sept. 7th?

Interview in June with Buffalo amid its office closure

I totally understand your frustration. My spouse attempted the visitor's visa last spring but was declined. Then you could just walk in and get an answer the same day. Now you have to apply by mail and might take a couple of months too. But good luck with that if you decide to do it. I just...

Hi! Any old Buffalonian interviewees heard anything from either Ottawa or LA yet? It's been 4 and a half months since we were notified the interview cancellation when they closed!

    MP needs more info

Thank you Creampop! That's what I thought too, just didn't want to confuse the MP office knowing that they're very busy already. Congratulations on your PPR!

I am sorry that you're experiencing the same situation like us. Our file was transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa on July 7, 2012. Nothing from Ottawa or LA yet. My spouse is from China too. We should have gone through Beijing and it would have been done long time ago. Hope we'll all hear...

Interview was cancelled in July, Buffalo

We hope so too. Maybe LA is going to be basing on how strong your case is in terms of interview selection, not like Buffalo was totally basing on if the applicant was from a visa-exempt or visa-required country. :'( Hang in there.

Interview was cancelled in July, Buffalo

I would expect instructions be given once a LA officer reviews our file. For now, we're just waiting.

Interview in June with Buffalo amid its office closure

Hi Ambber29, This gives you all the forms you need: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/completed.asp Email would be the easiest way to receive. They will send you the whole file including notes. I requested on behalf of my spouse from within Canada each time. It normally took around 30...

Interview in June with Buffalo amid its office closure

I am surprised that your file didn't get transferred on July 07/2012. Through readings of the other forums, I understand July 07, 2012 was the day Buffalo did most of the transfers, that includes ours too. Maybe your MP's assistant mis-read "07" as "27". Our medical shows expired too but no...

Interview in June with Buffalo amid its office closure

Hello 2joy, Thanks for the post! It's a good idea to order the GCMS if you hadn't done so yet. It would show the notes & concerns they made on your file. You will have plenty of time to get it and get prepared for your interview. We just got our 3rd GCMS dated August 22nd, 2012. That's where...

Got GCMS notes from Ottawa today

Last one was 26 pages. This one is 33 pages dated August 22, 2012. Most of the stuffs are repetitions and things we know already. If Ottawa treats 2012/07/07 as date of ROA, then someone should be reviewing our file(again, a 2nd time after being reviewed in Buffalo) after yours(your AOR was end...

Interview in June with Buffalo amid its office closure

Thank you 2joys for getting back to me! So it makes sense that you heard something from them first as your application was filed earlier than ours. I hope we'll hear from them very soon. I was anticipating that a different officer would be looking at our file again after it's transferred. For...
