@parker24 - thank you for adding me to the spreadsheet...we haven't heard anything from LA VO and it's been 2 months now - I tried calling CIC to get a confirmation on where my file is but couple of weeks of trying and i can't get to a real person...so perhaps emailing LA is my next best step...

@Sunshine87 - I'm trying not to worry but same as you it often crosses my mind as we also did the medicals way way too early (June 2011) so they are already passed the 12 months mark and i'm just hoping the new rule of 15 months will help - that's if the LA VO looks at my app in teh next month or so:( i also think our medicals went to Detroit not Ottawa...it's all so confusing and frustrating...

but it's a new week and let's hope for productive days at visa offices so that we can finally get some positive news ;D

I'm in for hoping for a productive week!! ;D ;D ;D

it's hard to not hear anything for a while. But I gotta believe that they know something about what they are doing.

Its a new week, and no movement as of yet. :(
I emailed the ottawa office but it seems they will not reply either, its been 10 days already!
So i had a question; what happens when someone croses their case processing time? Does cic have to respond the applicant before the case processing time? If not then what should an applicant do?
Thanks

You can call the CIC call center and ask for information or contact your local MP to help you in your case that is what most people do.

Hey All,
I was wondering, has anyone from the US received their corp after the buffalo closure/transfer of files scene.

Nope. Quiet like a morgue. Maybe they all got laid off or gone on summer holiday.

Another week's gone and still nothing >:( no updates on eCas, no emails, i can't even get to a real person in the Call Center... :'( usually i start the week with a little hope for some movement but not today :( hoping some of you hear good news this week and give me faith in the process

The website does say up to 8 months or more for phase 2 does it not? Although it would be nice to hear sooner, it may be wishful thinking :)

Based upon the open data project information (using Buffalo's numbers) the figures were 20% at 6 months, 50% at 9 months, and 80% at 12 months for sponsorship of a spouse (versus any other family class, including spouse + children, which was generally about one month shorter.)

So, a long time....check.

Sadly yes.. grr. I'm hoping the officers are like "Hey for two weeks let's accept all applicants that come across our desks!" LOL If only

No word from anyone this week?

I'm getting ready to drive down to Arizona to be with hubby. We're sick of being apart, and with his good paying job and warm winters, I'm going to stay with him until he can land in Canada and work. We have no idea when that will be. I'm hoping not much longer than 6 months... but this eerie silence from LA leads me to think it will a lot longer.

Someone in another month (who isn't on here) got their COPR from LA recently and landed. So there's hope!!!! Have a safe trip down!!!

Soooo...the hubby and I were standing downtown Ottawa today waiting to get our lunch from a chip wagon when a group of workers from CPC-O got in line behind us. It took all my might to not question them endlessly and ask why they are being so slow! My Hubby was like, "just ask them what's going on!...do it!". All those workers who might be working on our applications standing right behind us for 15 minutes and I was too chicken to say anything...maybe next time.
