Just a correction and good news for you. You won't have to wait until December 2017 if you didn't submit your application this month. The backlog they are working on is not by end of December 2017. They are saying the latest you will wait is December 2017 if you submitted this month. The...

    FAMILY REUNIFICATION - BIG CHANGES

Must be why my application is taking long despite being recommended pass in July. According to McCallum the quota this year for spouses is 60,000 with a backlog of 80,000 applicants. Next year's quota is 64,000. So maybe a lot will be approved in the new year.

the Trudeau's are great with their immigration policies. My parents and I were refugees under Pierre Trudeau and now my wife hopefully will be a PR under Justin Trudeau's revamping of the immigration policies. Been waiting 9 months. My wife is due to give birth in 4 months but I'll take the 3...

I got GCMS notes from early October. In July the VO in Singapore paper screened my wife's application and recommended no wav and recommended passed on the eligibility assessment. He/she had no concerns and said 'appears bona fide. no wav' But haven't heard anything from Singapore and it's been...

Landing Questions Asked by Immigration Officer

I was joking with my wife yesterday she'd be the first person sent back on the plane to her home country because she doesn't understand a word of English. Have they ever sent anyone back because they couldn't answer the questions? Or do they provide translators? just curious.

The processing time for Vietnam at Singapore office just changed to 16 months. Don't know about other countries. What a big difference of 26 months from when I first applied to sponsor my wife. It would depend what country you're applying from. You can check processing time here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/information/times/index.asp If you've been waiting more than the processing time you can contact your mp to make an enquiry. Or you can order GCMS notes if possible.

GCMS NOTES WELL EXPLAINED HAS NEVER BEFORE UNTIL NOW

ATIP were pretty consistent in sending out GCMS notes within 30 days until they changed the consent form. I got mines about 100 days late. I requested another one it better not be another 100 days lol or I'll be submitting a formal complaint.

Why are newer applications approved before mine?

I don't know but I can sympathize with you. Did you order your GCMS notes? I ordered mines and no red flag. In fact the officer recommended no interview and pass. But yet I see people getting passport request even after giving interview and they applied around the time I applied. Just luck of...

GCMS NOTES WELL EXPLAINED HAS NEVER BEFORE UNTIL NOW

I just got my GCMS note yesterday and fired off another GCMS note request today. What I've heard is that these notes lie independently from the VO's overseas and sit somewhere in Canada. So the VO's don't even prepare these GCMS notes it all comes from ATIP office. That's what I gather so it...

lol I wish this was true. I owned 2 houses in Canada prior to submitting my application. No where on the application does it ask if you own a house and there is no spousal visas in Canada.
