Sponsorship approval came from Mississauga, As much as I would have like for Ottawa to already approve me, that's where our case has been sent to. :)

We filed outland, so they sent our file to Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa. I think that all US PR Applicants are going through Ottawa now.

Finally received sponsorship approval in the mail today, dated July 23. Our case has been sent to Ottowa. I wonder how quickly they'll be processing now that they're in Ottowa. Time for the rest of you to join me. -Pigey

That's the frustrating part for me, sitting at home unable to work. I keep hoping the new barcoding will speed up the second part of the process. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I just saw something in the April Applicant thread, someone called the CIC and was told that their AOR email was supposed to be sent, but somehow got cancelled. They were able to confirm sponsorship approval over the phone. Maybe telephone calls are in order?

I married my husband while I was in Canada visitng from the US (visa exempt). I went through customs in Calgary with my wedding dress in hand (and the receipt), told them I was getting married and would then be returning to the US after the wedding. I had no problems.

Every day I've been checking to see if you've gotten an AOR. Sending positive thoughts for you and all of the early May applicants.

And another update... it now says under my application status "medicals received". I swear, this is enough to give me heart palpitations...

I used my hubby's UCI and info... and poof... there it was. I'll let everyone know when we get the letter in the mail.

Okay, I will out the bottle of Scotch away... kidding. Maybe they are mailing because we are in Alberta? This whole process is nerve racking...

So I just checked e-cas and our sponsorship application status changed to decision made... sent you a letter on July 23. We didn't receive and email, but I have no idea what that means... Any insight??? Please?

No updates here... One week since AOR.

Our AOR arrived at 8. No approval yet for us.

Hooray! We received our AOR last night... Since the Buffalo office is closed, I guess they will transfer our file to Ottowa. The bar-coding must really be speeding up the process for them.
