Congrats on the update. Could you email your consulate or embassy to have them speed up the process? Regardless, just go with the old passport and explain the situation.

Cheating the system was very common in the 90s. I have stories about people who are currently Canadian citizens that have cheated the system. Some are friends that their families had reasons behind their actions.

Great!. Just FYI, the process of citizenship is picking up speed. But not necessarily sending out the AOR.
Also, if the AOR is lost by mail, the CIC will send you an email with an e-copy of the book. It's not that important to have it on hand.
No one is preventing you or your family from leaving to other provinces or changing jobs or addresses within Canada. I don't agree with your argument at all. I do agree with the policies of the CIC but not with the way applicants are being treated and misinformed.

I did last Wednesday. The CIC was unaware of the problem. They thought it was an isolated case. So they sent me an email with some questions to fill up. Then I got contacted by a CIC agent via email mentioning that they are looking into the problem and soon as they have an answer they will get...
