Just FYI you cannot go to the Vienna VO in person to submit. It says so on their website, they stopped those services a few years ago for some reason :S I think the process now is only either to mail passport to local VAC or go to the local VAC in person, who then mail to Vienna.

This is just a glitch because when you google ecas the first link available is one for change of address. Happenning to many people, just log out and log back in :) there’s no need to actually update the address

@Jelvuk Oct 11th applicant, I don't think it takes so long now honestly...I know a few people who applied before December 2016 (when the processing times were shortened), and even for them it took less than a year. In the whatsapp group I'm in someone posted that GCKey is much more reliable now...

    CoPR and Travel Question

It’s crazy how many hurdles you have to hump through if you’re from a certain country isn’t it?? Even the fact that getting a visitor’s visa for Canada is next to impossible when you have a spouse sponsorship application in is crazy to me...ah well it will be over one day :) thanks so much for...

    CoPR and Travel Question

Hi @canuser it looks like he doesn't need the airport transit visa from the information you quoted above. Can he contact a local travel agency and inquire? Or maybe you can call the airline info number with which you plan on booking with ticket? I read the info above and at the link below as =...

Hmm I can’t say exactly to be honest but I think pretty soon after...10 days or so. And as for the other info, they run the applicant through a number of databases: CBSA, CSIS, FBIs international crime database (linked to terrorist information I believe but can’t say 100%), and I’m sure...

@RinaMuhaxhiri Agreed. I seriously wish there was a more transparent way for them to show what’s going on. I feel like the gc key updates are so ambiguous and that Vienna doesn’t even update it as it should. Though the background check did start for my husband while the status was like this...

Hey Rina! My husband has the same exact line. It’s been like that for a while. I was actually curious if anyone else at Vienna VO also had that. It’s weird...we don’t really know what to make of it.

Wow...I’m sorry I can imagine how frustrated you must be. What does you GCkey look like? Do you have anything under eligibility or background check? I don’t get how they can just have files sitting there for months and months!! Family class is apparently the biggest priority...so much for that

Procedural Fairness Letter for marriage ingenuity

I’m sorry I don’t have a template to provide you with, maybe searching through the forum would yield some results? If they didn’t specify in the email how to send them the information you should then send it by replying to the email and submitting it through webform and attaching the documents...

Procedural Fairness Letter for marriage ingenuity

From what you wrote it sounds like you’ll be able to send plenty if proof! If it was me I would first write a letter signed by both you and your wife in response explaining the situation as you have above, and everything that has happened after you applied. Then attach any and all supporting...

Seems like the regular old reply everyone gets when they inquire just worded differently. Translation: Your application is in process they have no updates, keep waiting. Last time we emailed them they said “please do not contact us for another month” (it was a second email to them, in both...

****OCTOBER 2017***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Hej rikta! A canadian citizen has to request them on behalf of the PA (PA signs a release of info form) and it’s through access to information act, what you receive are the case notes from agents reviewing your file. GCMS is the case management system where you file is saved, processed, and...

Exactly what @evdm said above, if you as sponsor are a PR and not a citizen you should remain in the country for the duration of the process. That’s why PRs living abroad can’t sponsor their spouses. I’ve read on this forum that PRs have taken very short trips and were okay.
