I am thinking if by Monday I don't turn to IP I'll apply for the Open work permit.

At the end of January, but I want to find a different job. I'm tired with what I'm doing, and my Ecas status is not even IP.

Does anybody know what happen if I apply for an open work permit 5 months before my WP expires??

Me too, I sent my PCC again a week ago and it still shows application received, I don't know when the process will start.

You don't need to stop your application, you just get married and then contact CIC to let them know that you got married and that you need to add yor source to your application.
