I just got an email from CPC-Ottawa saying my file is currently being processed at their office. As simple as it sounds am confused because am still on application received. Does it mean my file is on queue waiting for an officer as I have read from some of the thread here or should I be expecting IP soon.
My application was received on Jan 20.

I have never heard of such case, is there Such a case in your knowledge? I guess our applications will take time come what may, they have a processing time of 17 months which is on the official website, so we cant complain i guess, its sad but its true I guess

My agent told me there were some cases last year that the applicants got PPR without IP&DM. But I don't know the details...

What does the CAS case status in process mean?

“In process” means that a case processing centre or visa office has received an application but has not finalized it yet. Therefore, for the rest of the application processing time, Client Application Status (CAS) will show the application’s status as “in process.”
Its mean when file reach to ottawa they will turn in to
Process you application...
