The thing is, PA's IEC (working holiday visa) expired yesterday but we're understanding he can keep working under implied status. However he desperately wants to switch jobs and he can't do so until he gets the OWP. If we applied 6 days later (July 1), he would have had OWP by now. SO FRUSTRATING.

Under normal circumstances, what is the longest time someone has waited for their OWP when applying for it with a PR application? (This doesn't include if you missed a signature or payment and had to resubmit). We've been waiting for over 4.5 months now. It's also been 2 months since we linked...

Work permit extension Online 117 days ? Working on applications received on July 1, 2019. Paper 122 days ? Working on applications received on June 26, 2019. ^This is so upsetting. 4.5 months and still no OWP.

Maybe it was a cic agent who was tired of receiving calls saying "...but according to the spreadsheet online, August applicants already have their OWP!". :p

So we called cic this morning, AGAIN, and the agent said she will send a note to cic to move our application along since it's been almost 4.5 months. Not sure if this will do anything but hey - we're desperate at this point.

I'm starting to get so frustrated seeing July and August applicants get their OWP. It's been more than 4 months for us, we've called 3 or 4 times (agents say there is nothing they can do because the website says they are only processing June 14th applicants), and we're still waiting.

Well here we are again. Another Monday, another week full of hopes and dreams that will inevitably be crushed Friday evening.

It's nice that the agent you spoke to offered to do that because the agent we spoke to said she can't do anything (we also asked her to sent the officers a message to push our app forward but she said she can't).

We just called cic and talked to a lovely woman who told us that online it says they are processing applications submitted June 14th (rolls eyes); thus she cannot do anything since online it says our app was submitted June 19th (inaccurate but who cares). The waiting game continues...

Wow I'm surprised you got through in the afternoon. Usually they end my call due to a "high volume of callers". Do you recall what numbers you pressed to get to the agent?
