In my opinion sponsors living abroad should move faster. It is less likely for a marriage to be a fraud when the people live together as opposed to living apart and having met online or hav ing only met a few times before getting married. That is my opinion. I've lived here with my wife for over...

Yes I've ordered notes. They haven't started anything on our file. Only the medical has been finished but that's obvious because we sent that in August. I don't live in Canada so the MP thing won't work. Anyway I don't think they can really do much. CIC is accountable to nobody and an MP...

Not to be a downer but our PGR was received by CIC Mexico on March 3rd and we haven't heard anything. I got GCMS notes 2 weeks ago and they say they haven't started any of the checks. Be prepared for a wait. Good luck but I wouldn't expect anything soon.

You can try for one but I have been told that it's difficult to get. Because a married couple is considered to be much closer to each other than just a couple dating for example the theory with CIC is that if the applicant visits as a visitor, they may not leave. If however the applicant has...

When we got our "AOR2", it was also our request for an updated Schedule A form and the PGR request. I wish everybody lots of luck but people also need to be patient. It's great to have the spreadsheet for us to monitor but people need to know that everyone's case is different and we can't expect...

Congratulations. We SHOULD be next as we sent in our PGR on March 2nd. I say should be with a grain of salt as there doesn't seem to any real way of knowing what's happening. But that's great for you!

Thanks. We are wondering what's happening. We sent our PGR check to the embassy on March 2nd and it arrived on the 3rd via DHL. But as someone was mentioning a few weeks ago it looks like the Mexico VO is requesting the PGR at the beginning of the process now and not the end like before. We were...

They don't wnat people sending them e-mails. A lot of people send them e-mails asking about every step of their application and can you imagine how many applications they have to look at. They deal with apps from a lot of countries. Unfortunately the time line is 18 months so if someone's...

Congratulations to you. A quick question. You sent in your PGR on March 10, 2015? Is that correct?

I think everyone was expecting PPR after sending in their PGR check but as has been commented it appears that this may now be their first step not the last. Cross your fingers but be prepared for a wait. Life!!!
