Agreed. I honestly wouldn't waste anymore time waiting on them and just pay up. I'd do anything to continue the application process to see my husband!

I understand that if you apply INLAND you can submit an OWP to work and continue to stay in Canada. My husband and I applied OUTLAND because he's (obviously) not in Canada. But with the wait times increasing and becoming more anxious, I've been looking into work permits but I'm really confused...

If I've gotten SA approval (I sent my app April 14 and did not seen the update...) would it mean I'm in the clear or will they send my husband's app back to me?

I live in Ottawa.... if they need some extra hands to process these applications I can definitely help. :D Also ... since they do not give AOR 2's... it's basically just contact if they need additional items or just straight COPR? ???

Hi! I posting on behalf of a friend and I'm really confused on the whole Inland process (I'm sponsoring spouse on Outland). She's from Australia and sent in for Inland as she lives in Canada and has OWP. Her permit expires in December and she said she sent in a renewal OWP in the application? I...

I received SA today via e-mail!!! Will update my timeline when I get home!

I usually guestimate it for 7-10 business days. I would imagine probably by next week :) Fingers crossed for Monday!

Hi! Quick question, will ECAS state on the PR section that they've received the FBI Check? I just found out we can't use channelers and lo and behold that's what we used! The good thing is that my husband applied for both and we have the real FBI check and will be mailing it in ASAP to the VO.

Yup. Just told my husband this and he's really mad. The good thing is that he applied to the FBI one then did the channeler after and has both...and we just realized this early on so I'll just send the right one in. Urgh.

You also need to prove why you couldn't get married... 27 days in Canada and you could have definitely gotten married so it would fail. It sounds harsh but it is what it is and I'm telling you right now it will fail.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to update and say that my ECAS is up! It seems like everything is set up now and it's just going to be a crazy waiting process now!

Yup! I figured as much. I'm just relieved that I even received AOR but who knows maybe we'll be lucky and get our SA's quickly too! This will be a lengthy process for sure but I'll remain positive :)
