Did CIC ever lose anyone's FBI clearance?

If only CIC would accept FBI reports from the approved Channelers...like they did between mid-January and early March of this year; especially since some of them still issue the report on the same blue security paper that the FBI no longer uses. Now, the FBI report is generated on standard white paper.

In mid January CIC was "allowing" per their website use of channelers. On March 9th there was a change to the website and channeler reports are no longer accepted. I to submitted a channeler report, in late Feb. I'm waiting to see if they'll make me get one directly from the FBI, you know, on that plain white paper that CIC is now saying isn't the real report

To be honest Marcia i have just given up.I'm just plodding along waiting for the day our ESCA changes.I have done every thing in my power to get them the forms they keep losing ...If they lose them again my husband is going to go outside there office and hand them to some one personally .

Yup. Just told my husband this and he's really mad. The good thing is that he applied to the FBI one then did the channeler after and has both...and we just realized this early on so I'll just send the right one in. Urgh.

I actually checked to see if the VO was open to the public, I was going to march down there and see WTF is going on, but you know that would probably get me kicked out of the country. lol! ..

Personally I'm surprised anyone is saying they don't think that CIC looses forms regularly. From what I hear on this site, CIC looses almost everything.

It's absolutely insane, but that's the government for you, a complete circus.

My husband's MP was so incredibly understanding and said this happens a lot and that they are aware of what channels they need to follow to help us. So we are now waiting and praying. I have done everything in my power. Including emailing Ottawa 4 times with a detailed description of what is going on and scanned images or everything they are requesting. Asking them to please look again while we wait for the new FBI clearance. THey of course have not answered me.

We also sent copies and a well drafted letter by mail in hopes that maybe that will get picked up. Again, telling them that while we are in the process of waiting for a new FBI clearance that we would greatly appreciate if they could look through our file once more time because we are 3000% certain it is in there. We also told them exactly where in the file it is. I had sections / dividers / and a table of contents. So unless they just tossed everything into a bag it should be with all my principal applicant forms (which they all have on file) so where the hell did my FBI clearance go? ... Its probably being used as scrap paper lol

to CIC? .... I have a copy of my FBI clearance. They want an original but since I already sent it to them I sent them the copy to prove that I got it done back in Aug before they received my app and asked them to look for it.

I am waiting for the FBI to process a new one but I called them today and they said they are just working on prints received on 02/24/15

Ooops...I meant to post this in the thread where the person was accused of sending a Channeller's report instead of the FBI issued IHSR.

But...maybe it would actually help you as well, since it would prove that the FBI charged your card and issued you your report as well...which you included with your application. The date of the receipt would be close to the date on the copy that you sent them, right?

I have bombarded Ottawa with emails. I think they placed me in the spam list at this point LOL! ... The MP might be our only option. They haven't answered a single email. Even when I asked how I could get an extension on the time frame they gave us since obviously I can't have an FBI check in 45 days.

Oh no... I'm so sorry to hear they lost your documents. I almost had the same thing happen to my wife. She got the same notice about needing the FBI report when we sent it in. We freaked out and e-mailed CPC-Ottawa that it was sent in the original package while my wife reapplied for another set of prints. Then we were so fortunate when we got an e-mail back from CPC-Ottawa 3 days later saying that they found it so it is ok. I wish you had the same luck and I'm sorry that it sounds like things are still in limbo....

Thank you for the good luck!... Today at 3:39PM EST I actually got an email that said "We will accept the copy of your FBI report as it does appear that you have previously submitted the original." ... so I will take that... I already sent them the copy so that will hopefully move this along!
