    Spousal sponsorship Refusal

It'd be great if you could share the reasons stated on the refusal letter. Usually, if they convene an interview, it's because they doubt the legitimacy of your relationship, not the legality of a marriage. I think there's more in your relationship that they doubt that has nothing to do with a...

****June 2018***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

That person's info was entered in error. I asked them about it myself. They were actually an April applicant. Average right now for AOR is roughly 40 days with a lot of us in the 37-39 day range. If only it took 13 days.

    BVO-divorce certificate

How were you able to obtain a marriage license if you could not prove with documentation that your husband's previous marriage was ended in a divorce? BVO might be asking you to prove why you can't obtain it, but I think it might be prudent for you to attempt to track down a way to obtain the...

    SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP.

There are dozens of threads on here asking this same question. You will not hear from CIC except in two instances. First, if your application was submitted complete, they will enter you into the system and send you an email to the sponsor that notifies you that they have received your...

    Question about document request/GCKey account

I recently received AOR1 and was finally able to get my account linked today. Earlier this morning I received an email from CIC requesting me to upload a document. However, the document they are requesting is not listed as requested in my GCKey account. Does it usually take 24 hours (ish) to...

The lawyer would be the one to be able to give you the correct idea. This forum is unpaid laymen offering suggestions. If you want legal clarification for an issue of past criminality, then you'd be best served by consulting an attorney.

help on IMM5532 Form-Relationship Information and Sponsorship

The person who stood in front of you while you said your vows. The officiant. They don't care about a "financial support person." They want to know which person was legally or religiously responsible for performing your wedding.

    Sponsor has Dementia, Application refuse???

If your husband has dementia, there's a questionable legal argument that he might not have the mental capacity to legally consent to sponsoring you. This is an area where a solid immigration attorney needs to advise you.

    ****APRIL 2018***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

I would like to inquire about your tracker entry. It says that your application was received by the CIC on May 20, but that you received AOR on June 2. How exactly is that possible? You don't get AOR in 2 weeks. Are the dates on your tracker correct? If not, then please make corrections...

    Work permit during Outland sponsorship

Outland applications do not offer any option for a work permit. However, given where you are in your application process (and given that current processing times are moving along pretty smoothly overall, if your application is non-complicated), you're probably only a few months away from...

New June 2018 Application Checklist as of today - outland apps will be mailed to Nova Scotia

Unless they specify a grace period, if you submit an application after the forms have updated, they will expect that you submit the most recent forms. Edit: since they have now specified to send to NS, then that is where you should send the application.

    Haven't received a response till now !

It takes an average of 30-60 days before you will hear anything from CIC, as long as you have submitted a complete application. If your app is returned to you for any reason, you won't hear anything about it at all until it shows back up in your mailbox. This wait is just part of the process...

    Police Check wait times?

The electronic records submission is a newer initiative by the FBI. I just completed mine last month. It is a way for them to clear the backlog of paper applicants for background checks and process them timely. I had to get checks for myself and my daughter and they were both done within a...

    2 important questions

    1. No, the PCC is required upfront with the application as of February of this year. If you send in your application without it, it will be returned to you. As a point of reference, please make sure that all of your completed forms are done with the updated forms and checklist prior to you...

    Police Check wait times?

There is no need to have any prolonged wait. Most PCCs by the FBI are completed within 1-2 days after they receive your fingerprints in the mail. I had my prints done, mailed in, and had PCC within a week's time. Here is how to complete the process. 1. If you are still in the US, then you...

GCKey Question about Number of Applicants

I'm awaiting AOR and looking at the instructions for linking the app in GCKey. For the number of applicants, do you include a non-accompanying dependent? I know to include both sponsor and PA, but wasn't sure if a non-accompanying dependent was considered to be an applicant. Thanks!
