hi everybody
My wife (citizen) is sponsoring me (Italian citizen) for pr.
We applied Outland and it was received the 13th of feb 2018.
Since then we did medicals, schedule a etc and we got aor2 saying the app was staying in Mississauga. Last update was bgc started the end of April.
Our original plan was to wait until CoPR to voluntary release from the Italian army and land to start our life together in Canada.
Some circumstances have changed and we are considering for me to resign earlier and move there with her before the app is completed. I can stay out of eta but of course I can’t work.
Is there any way I can apply for some kind of work permit as I wait for pr to be processed?

Outland applications do not offer any option for a work permit. However, given where you are in your application process (and given that current processing times are moving along pretty smoothly overall, if your application is non-complicated), you're probably only a few months away from completing the PR, so you might not have to be out of work for very long.

Thank you. The only possible issue I see so far is the fact the I am still active duty with the Italian army, a circumstance nobody could advice me wether or not it could be an obstacle for Pr. But I hope that the fact they decided to keep the app in Mississauga is a good sign since they had already seen that when they made the decision to streamline.
