FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Interesting that February applicants have received DM before any January applicants...I checked thinking there would be at least one...but nothin'.

    Processing time changed

Good point. Perhaps it's not an average but the longest possible time :D

    Processing time changed

The times still seem like an overestimate tbh. I wonder if they do it just so they don't get a bunch of calls and have plenty of time if anything were to happen. U.S. says 15 months....I've never heard of it taking 12 months....6-8 max.

    CPC-Ottawa for further processing..?

Just saying, over in February 2016 thread, Ottawa (spousal) applicants have received DM in less than 3 months. Definitely a good thing that it's being sent to Ottawa.

Just a scan of my passport, which most include in their initial submission. :)

Yes, I actually replied twice because I forgot something in the first one lol. They never sent confirmation (except for the automated e-mail), but it was only a week between submitting that and DM.

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I think it was relatively straightforward, also a lot of visits probably helped. But as for 'red flags', not much. We're 6 years apart (which isn't much, but who knows) and we're from different cultural backgrounds, but I think with everything else that wasn't a cause for concern. It's...

My insight would be to be excited, I doubt it's anything negative.

Is there any way I can confirm they received it? I don't want them to email me back in 45 days saying I failed to provide the documents and they rejected my case or something. That would be just my luck.

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

The lady helping us with our application said it would be fine to just send that in. But I had a feeling they would request something to do with passport at some point and figured it was about time anyway.

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

No, I sent in a scanned copy of my Enhanced Driver's License (which allows entry into Canada/Mexico). I just recently applied for and received a full passport, and shortly after I received the request. I guess what I sent in wasn't enough even though the US is visa exempt.

When did you submit your application/when did you received AOR?

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Apparently we paid the RPRF up-front, so our only document request was the passport scan. Hopefully good news is around the corner for us as well...though I'm hoping they'll send confirmation that they actually received the scan. Still nothing, and the request was the 21st (replied with the...

Hi everyone, I've yet to receive a response to this question, so hopefully someone here will have an idea. I received a document request April 21st and scanned and sent the document (requested me to reply directly to the e-mail) with my UCI and File no. I received the automated reply. My...

No DM/contact from CIC yet, should I contact CIC?

It's important to note that everyone's application is different, comparing any two is difficult since the circumstances are likely vastly different. Perhaps some applications are just easier than others, for whatever reason, maybe one only needs a police clearance from one country where the...

My husband had to include similar information. If you became a PR as a result of your parents applying, you'll want to figure out which office processed their application based on where they were living. I'm only assuming this is the case since you're not sure. Ex. my husband was born in...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hey guys, I was wondering, for those with Ottawa VO who received a document request, did they ever send you a confirmation of some sort that they received the document(s)? On Thursday I received a request for a scan of my passport, and they asked me to reply directly to the e-mail and...

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I guess I'll give it a few days then since it was Thursday morning. Thanks for the info!!! Hopefully Ottawa VO doesn't try to skip out on sending a confirmation e-mail.
