It's crazy how some people get PPR the next day. How much background checking can be done in a day? I think the time that background check changes to in progress isn't all that accurate.

Good question, some people seem to get PPR the next day after BGC in progress. Mine went to in progress on the 14th May so I was hoping to get PPR this week, nothing yet. Keep us posted.

I really hope it doesn't happen, it will make a very negative impact on the economy in the UK. I can't see how it would impact on immigration either way. Accept maybe if the UK does leave there might in an increase in the number of Brits emigrating.

Congrats to those who got PPR. I'm in the UK so I assume my VO is London, hopefully will see BG check move to in progress and then PPR shortly afterwards as that seems to be the pattern. Quick question, do you get an email when your BG check goes to "in progress"?

As far as I know... Criminality check is checking your PCC(s). Security would be things like checking you're not flagged as having any links to terrorism and you're not on any Interpol databases (International arrest warrants etc). It makes sense that the second one would take slightly longer...
