    Background Checks -EXPLAINED >>>

Hi all, I hope someone can shed some light on this. I live in a country whose canada VO is located in another country. Is a site visit of my workplace a feasible undertaking by ircc? I'm asking because I would need to inform the staff there.

Calculating fte hours for part-time jobs

Thanks very much Jess on. I have started my profile but wanted to make sure. One more question, the education section talks about secondary and post secondary. However, in the drop down menu nothing comes close to high school section. How does one state secondary education?

Calculating fte hours for part-time jobs

Thanks but that is incorrect. Nowhere does cic state it HAS to be either 15 OR 30 hours weekly. They do give the 1560 over 104 weeks at 15 hours/week as an EXAMPLE. But it doesn't answer my question.

Calculating fte hours for part-time jobs

I have more than 1560 hours of part time experience built up over more than 52 weeks. When filling up EE, do I need to work out fte for each working week then sum the fte for each week? If yes, If I got 0.2484763, do I round up to .25 or leave it as .24?

    EE First Attempt: Ineligible

Agree entry the funds issue. If you declared 2 dependents in your application but calculated funds for one applicant only then that is the reason it is ineligible. However it might not be their only reason, in you claimed experience for 3 years for example but your dates don't match to that...

    Work Experience Continuity

Hi I have a similar question, my workplace closes for 2-3 weeks for the end of year holidays. Would that constitute a break in continuity? I get paid per session and therefore when the workplace closes, no sessions are done and hence no money earned for that period.

    Research assistant reference letter

Could you please provide a clear reference for that because, as per CIC a short break in between employments is fine, and in this case, there's no money earned nor is that person employed. So logically, a two-week holiday because the workplace closes and not because one's professional activity...

Unpaid vacations and continuous work experience

Yes I have seen that MI. However, even during a small break such as the one I desribed, I am still employed still earning money that month ,,, so if a "small break" in between jobs i.e. being unemployed is "acceptable", I would think a situation such as mine would be too, right ?

Unpaid vacations and continuous work experience

Hi all, I am in an urgent need to clarify the following. Do 2 to 3 weeks of holidays which are unpaid (as I am paid on a per session basis) at the end of the year constitute a "break in continuity"? If I work 13 hours in one week, 0 the next, then 7 in the followingm does the second week in...

Moving to quebec after obtaining pr card

Yes, thanks both for your inputs. I'm already aware of the mobility rights of PR and citizens of course. My query is about whether CIC will be reluctant to renew the PR status of someone who shifted to Quebec soon after being granted PR through FSW.

    Research assistant reference letter

You mentioned minimum 30 hours per week. Correct me if I'm wrong, but someone who has worked on average 15 hours per week for 2 years or 7.5 hours for 4 still satisfies the work experience requirement.

Moving to quebec after obtaining pr card

Hi all, I was wondering if it might be an issue for subsequent pr renewal and citizenship application if one moves to quebec after becoming a permanent resident through the fsw programme. Thanks.
