I saw your post and have been following every entry in this forum with open eyes.. The reason I posted this is because we are all desperate to get in before the cap gets over.. We browse other forum's too for clues about it..
I took this from another forum..
"Can anyone tell when do çic count someone into their cap count? After PER or after file transfer to local VO or when?"
Going by the experiences of past applicants, it is after PER.
Thanks for the quick reply..
I am doing this from chennai... I have been in US on H1-B... I know I have to do for adults.. I have a kid who is 10 years old..
Seniors kindly help me..
FBI - PCC I have downloaded FD-258.. for my wife and myself..

If you are applying from India your visa officer in New Delhi will be able to convert your INR Fixed Deposit to CAD equivalent easily. This will be done at the time of your interview or earlier.
You need a letter from your bank that your a/c and fixed deposit is still active.. Along with this...
On the date of application... if you show proof that you have a Fixed Deposit in your name in a reputed bank (Nationalised bank - SBI) and the duration is at least until the process is completed and you land in Canada with those funds.
These funds are required by you to survive the initial...
Proof of Settlement funds is required even at port of landing.. It is required to support yourself and not depend on the system to support you until you get a job and settle yourself or in case of emergency after you settle..
Hope this is clear enough....
I used Fixed deposit receipt copy notarised and a letter from bank that the a/c and FD is still active.
If you have funds from friends and relatives it should be in your a/c for atleast 3 months before your application received date.. You can also show your mortgage, jewellery, share/debenture...
I have applied for NOC-2171, I have lived in US along with my wife for more than 6 months... Should I apply for FBI PCC now, how long will it take to get FBI PCC.
