JANUARY 2017 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Yes, what you have to do is called flagpoling. It's discussed in a few threads, but basically you just drive over to the US side, turn around and drive through the Canadian border, then tell the border agent that you're flagpoling. They'll send you in to the office, where an agent will complete...

JANUARY 2017 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Confirmation of Permanent Residence. It's the document they mail to you as the final step, which you take to a border crossing to become a Permanent Resident. That process is called landing.

JANUARY 2017 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

MyCIC refers to the PA application (which is why you use only PA information to link that account), so the eligibility requirements refer to your eligibility to become a PR. From what I've read from everyone else, that typically doesn't change until they send out your COPR.

Congratulations! There were quite a bit of us that received DM this week. Can't wait for our PPRs to come flooding in!

And now we wait for the PPR! ;D

    Question Regarding "Decision Made"

Congratulations! I got my DM today, as well, and nothing changed when I clicked on "Decision Made." I've also seen a few other people post the same exact thing, so it's nothing to worry about, that's normal. :) As for what's next, yes, just wait for the PPR email.

**DECEMBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS**

I thought the average process time for BGC was 2-4 weeks. Of course, some have gone quicker, some slower, but most people I've seen have gone about that long. I just got my DM today, which makes my wait 3 weeks.

Sure! Here is what I wrote: "Good Morning, I am writing to you to inquire about my application for Permanent Residence, with the following information: - Name: XXXX (Maiden: XXXX) - Date of Birth: XXXX - UCI Number: XXXX...

**NOVEMBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS**

I got DM this morning! I sent an email to the Ottawa VO yesterday afternoon (evening in Ottawa time), asking about my application process, and this morning I saw my ECAS changed to DM and I got the following email: "Dear Madam, Your application had been finalized. An officer will contact your...

Before sending the email, make sure it abides by the following: "IMPORTANT: You must provide us with your application number in the subject line of your email and include in the body of your email the following information: * Surname and Given name(s); * Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD); *...

JANUARY 2017 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

If your application is going slower than average, I'd suggest emailing the Ottawa VO, or requesting GCMS notes. I emailed them today because I'm still waiting on DM, and I thought I would've gotten it by now, since most of the Ottawa applicants from November have gotten theirs. At the very...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

From what danawhitaker said, it seems like the "expiration" applies to when it arrives at IRCC, so if your application was delivered within 6 months of October 6th (which it was), then you'll be fine. Also, since you're able to use a channeler, you can get your PCC within a week, so even if they...

**NOVEMBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS**

Congratulations! And I'm sure it'll be ok, as well, but I don't want to wait a few more weeks before contacting them, when I could contact them now and (hopefully) get this straightened out. From what I've read, it seems like 2-4 weeks of background check is normal. People who go beyond that...

    MARCH 2017 *OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANT*

That explains why they are contacting you and addressing you. In many applications, they have the sponsor's and PA's emails, which is why they're emailed separately, but if they only have one email, they go with that one for all correspondence. As far as the "This confirms that your application...

**NOVEMBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS**

I'm starting to get worried that I haven't gotten my DM or PPR yet. It seems like they've moved on to December and January applicants, since I see many of them receiving PPR now. I've read some cases where people have waited over a month, and when they finally decide to email their VO or send a...
