GUYS HELP PLEASE..

FBI police certificate[14-16 weeks] and Indian police clearance[ 4 weeks]

if schedule A request has been received and yet no police certificates in hand..

what to do ..

please advice.

Have they requested pcc? if they request pcc, your best bet is to upload a letter explaining that you will get the fbi clearance in 2-3 months. Mine took 2 months to arrive. I think if they find an arrest, it takes 14-16 weeks, but if you are clean, you will get it in 2-3 months.

My husband has never been arrested and his took the full 16 weeks. It was then returned because they couldn't read the fingerprints. So he had new fingerprints done, sent it in again, and it took another 16 weeks. Good thing we weren't in a hurry. ;D

Yes, my spouses PCC and Schedule A was requested Feb 22 and we're still awaiting Medical Request. New application was submited and neither PCC or Medical was included in the submitted application.

Did he get the fingerprints done in the same place both times? And did this happen inside USA? Just trying to understand why it took so long. I heard it only took long for people with bad records but I guess that rumor just got debunked.

The first time he went to his local PD. The second time he went to a different place. And, yeah, it was in the US. We used the old kit, so everything was sent together.

I hate to think about how stressful it would be if we were applying now and this happened. :o

is there any chance that they request PPR AND RFPF At the same time ?

it took that much to send you back!! That's ridiculous!! I just sent mine last week so I hope IRCC will take more time to request pcc. I need to get one from lebanon and this I can get in the same day.

I think RFRP comes first and then PPR. We opted to pay for RFRP in advance when we submitted our application. We thought it could lessen our waiting time.

The COPR arrived in the mail!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on this forum for all the help, support and information provided during the process. I wish everyone the best of luck for a swift and uneventful approval of their pending applications.

All is quiet on our end. Waiting for the passport request. Hopefully, soon!

Hi! Can my husband take his medical exam in another country? Our file was sent in Manila office even though we have indicated in his application that he is currently in Australia for work. We also submitted our application last January 17, and the latest update is his application was sent in Manila for processing. Schedule A and police certificates were already sent to them. Thanks.

I'm sure that is fine, so long as he goes to an approved doctor for the exam. Visit this site to search for one in Australia: http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

What does your Ecas status say? Mine still says application received.
MyCIC still says they haven't started the background check yet. It looks like the VO hasn't even opened our application yet other than to enter it into the system. I thought Ottawa was quicker than this.

If your application is going slower than average, I'd suggest emailing the Ottawa VO, or requesting GCMS notes. I emailed them today because I'm still waiting on DM, and I thought I would've gotten it by now, since most of the Ottawa applicants from November have gotten theirs. At the very least, it will force them to check on your application.

It says they started processing his application March 10. We're a couple of weeks into the background check. I have no idea how long that takes.
