Timeline update: Feb 11 - Application received March 29th - AoR April 8th - OWP approval April 12th - Medical request received

Called the CIC automated line.. It says, "We have requested a medical exam. We will send you a letter or email with more details." Nothing on ECAS yet. Was probably just done today. Will get something on Monday. Feb 11th applicant.

Update: OWP mailed April 8th OWP delivered to my home April 11th. That was fast.

The OWP email managed to get to my consultant today. It's being mailed from Edmonton and I reside in Calgary. Hoping to have it in my hands by the end of this week at the latest! Any late Feb applicants having success with AoR or OWP?

Yeah, there are some people in certain countries that do it beforehand. Otherwise, the government will let you know when a medical is requested (along with a form) and it must be done within that 30 day span. A medical review doctor will not complete your medical without that form. :)

That's a tough one, Bo. You can *try* sending them in right now (be sure to make a cover letter with your receipt number stating what has happened) but the unfortunate general consensus is that your application will be returned due to stories I have read on here. Maybe a more seasoned vet can...

Correct me if I am wrong but you cant submit a medical unless you get a request/form from the government, no? (Unless you are from a country that requires it beforehand). I'm sure medicals will come very soon none the less.

Update: Wife called CIC, agent told her the OWP is indeed approved and was mailed out today.

Just a protip for all you waiting on the OWP, As soon as you see/hear "We are reviewing your eligibility" when you call or are on GCKey, your application *will* be approved within hours or next day. I did some research on the forums with over 20 different people going through the same thing...

Yeah there is that seven day discrepancy again. Not sure why it does that. I was told that once it goes into "reviewing your eligibility" it guarantees an approval a couple of hours later. The phone system seems behind.

Hopefully all goes well. Mine was just changed to reviewing eligibility this morning but did not change to approved through the phone in the evening.. guessing they shut down early on Saturday. Fingers crossed for Monday

Called the CIC automated line. Our work permit moved from "Recieved application" to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". Sounds like good news to me!

Fan, does yours say in processing? Or just recieved? All mine says on the phone is that they have recieved my application but have not reviewed the eligibility yet.
