I'm hearing two different sides here.. So let me try to get this straight.. 1.) Wait for letter from Government to arrive requesting PCC 2.) We go to a Mexico embassy here in Calgary where we reside and request the PCC.. my wifes father goes and gets it. 3.) Recieve PCC faster this way 4.)...

So, Del, did you obtain your PCC before the CIC requested it? Do we absolutely need the letter from the CIC? My wife already gave her father a power of attorney and he is in Mexico City and can literally get it right away . And is it just the one document we need for the PCC? Sorry all of this...

Yeah if anyone who has done the PCC themselves and could explain to us step by step with what they did, it would be highly appreciated!

Hey everyone, My wife is from Mexico and is living with me in Canada for an inland sponsorship. We recently just had our medical exam completed and we are now anticipating the background check to begin and the request for PCC(should start in June with the current timelines I have been viewing)...

Yeah. The Mexican City VO is extremely slow for doing BGCs.. my wife and I will definitely be delayed in the process. Which sucks. It is what it is. We are looking into getting our BGC done early and then sending it in when the Government requests it, however.

Our BGC is taking place in Mexico and it is going to take at least 3 months from what I've read. Ah well.

On the phone service, it says I have passed the medical exam. On ECAS, it says medical results have been received. Strange.

Thanks so much. I wonder if we can send in the photos, fingerprints and the file number now to avoid delays? Or vice versa, get my wife's sister to obtain the PCC. We haven't recieved a letter yet from the Government requesting it, however.

Interesting. We would have to provide the file number the Government gives us when they request the BGC, correct? And I assume we would have to get the papers professionally translated? And you were an inland application? Also, do you know of anyone on these forums who have experience doing...

Our doctor submitted the exam on April 30th (Tuesday) and it was approved today (Friday). It was done through efile. Waitinglikeyall and I seen the same doctor (same day oddly enough) and it toom him four days. It seems to be the average from what I have been reading.

Medical was approved today. Now to wait for the background check!
