I didn't have to wait to the whole 12 weeks. Apply as soon as you can for it, you would be surprised how fast it comes. Order it online and as soon as its registered they will mail you a copy, I received my marriage certificate in about four weeks.

I was referring to the wrong form. I meant to ask about the spousal/commom law questionairre form. I filled out most the paperwork with his answers. Therefore can I be his interpreter?

So where it says authorized interpreter I can be his interpreter I presume? Thanks for the prompt reply.

That is great news. I too just got married four weeks ago and I am eagar to start the application to sponsor my husband. I'm going to take a chance and apply for it as well :) 10 weeks is an awful long time to wait.

I am applying in the near future. I got married at city hall on May 17, 2014. Can anyone advise how long it takes to get a marriage licence? Its already been four weeks and I went to order the certificate online and it mentioned 10 weeks. We really want to send in the application soon.
