My husband who I am sponsoring want to get his driver's licence. He has never driven before. He is currently on implied status while we wait for stage 1 approval of our application. Will he be able to obtain his driver's licence while being on implied status?

Does someone need to obtain their PR before they can begin taking English classes? I think they can't take English classes until they obtain their PR right or else you pay?

I would apply outland, it seems its a much faster process and if you have no red flags they shouldn't call you in for an interview. I somewhat regret not applying outland when sponsoring my husband.

Has anyone travelled overseas while waiting for their inland PR application to be approved? Especially from Visa exempt countries. Just wondering I am curious about people's experiences.

I sent a OWP along with my husband's inland application. So in other words I still need to extend his visitor visa? I'm going to try and call CIC call centre and see what they say.

Do it yourself, just take your time. If you need any help this forum was extremely helpful. Save yourself the money of not paying a consultant.

Congrats on doing it yourself. I too did it myself, It was alot of work but any questions or concern I had was immediately answered when I came on here. This place is great. I too, am glad that I didn't pay a consultant all that amount of money. Now we need patience with waiting ::)

Actually it may not be AOR. I think they just advised that it has been received on August 11, 2014. The AOR usually needs to state that you they acknowledge fees and my welcome letter didn't say that. So I will wait for AOR and update this forum accordingly so the spreadsheet can be updated.
