E-CAS is not very reliable, sometimes updates slowly or not at all. You might just get a DM show up, then all that's left is to wait for VISA.

Congrats, bring passport to Embassy for VISA?

I have learned over the months of waiting, there is no reasoning behind how this process works. Some apps done one way, others different. I think it's safe to say CEM is working on your app. I have seen a few apps that never do show in process, go straight to decision made.

Thanks Abscott, no PPR yet. Our app. seems to have skipped a step. Maybe because of my wife's address( rural address) they will handle as Trewmenn said. Pick up at embassy.

Just got an update on E-CAS, We began processing your application on May 20,2014. Finally dusting off our app.LOL

Some from August, September and October have received PPR. But many have not, there is no pattern to the way CEM sends out PPR. More waiting I know a good chunk of August still has not received PPR.

You are correct Japan is VISA Exempt won't have to send in Passport. Every case different, you won't know how long he will have to land until COPR issued.( Confirmation of Permanent Residency). But I believe expiry of VISA usually is tied to medicals. When they expire.

Thanks, I had a theory that no longer stands.I thought many that were getting PPR, meds were close to expiring. But not the case.

9 to 10 months for most through Manila. AOR= Acknowledgment of Receipt. Means CIC received. Most of the waiting is in que, waiting for your turn to be processed. Long marriage unfortunately will not help for most of the waiting, but once CIC begins I think you have a slam-dunk. No questions on...

Thanks, just seems like an inefficient system to be bouncing around on different months. I know some PPR's come very late in process, others early.

I would really like to know how CEM sends out PPR's, they seem to have skipped most of August applicants and moved on to September. Maybe they just draw straws or flip a coin. Makes no sense, I thought app would be processed in order of receipt. Apparently not.

1. Is for courier( recommended can track) 2. Is snail mail

Thanks Trewmenn, I'm not Filipino but can follow most of the conversation. My wife is Filipino, a very impatient one. Haha At least now we know some August apps are being looked at. More wait and see.

Just received an update on E-CAS , Medical Results have been received.( only took 10 months from the time meds done). I know it's no big deal, but at least someone has dusted off the application to match medicals.LOL Hopefully this is a sign of more good things to come.( fingers crossed)
