Just explain all the way you did here and it should be fine. It does not matter when the reception happened. Just document everything on a timeline and explain why you both did what you did. You will be fine.

    Being Rejected...

Its life. Its unfortunate but we have to deal with it if we want or not. I would fight them tooth and nail and if my country does not allow my family to be together than I am rejected and will leave to have a family. Thats all to it.

Mail it in and courier it in and you have a receipt as proof you have sent it. Of course CIC does not want to deal with people walking in. It should make no difference, just mail or courier it.

Great Fencesitter. I still will wait for the original as every bit of showing determination will help. Besides, my wife would eat me alive if I send the docs off without the original. Guess that's proof enough that our relationship is genuine. Haha Yes, I wish they would update their documents...

    Question about notarizing

They copy the original and notarize the copy. The copy will have either a stamp and signature on it or a seal mark. The front letter is just the guarantee of the notary public that she certifies that the copy is the copy of a original she has seen. All is fine the way it is. Keep the original...

Good luck. Sorry that I have opened a can of worms. I was shocked myself when my wife said that what I have is not the original and she is going to get the original. She did and got it. Thats why I had to wait till now with all documents. They could have been done 2 weeks ago. Be careful though...

I did not pay attention when we picked the certificate from the police station up. My wife was all over it. What you describe is what I have already in my hand here in Canada and its obviously not the original police certificate as it comes from the notary. In Zhuhai we had to go to 2 different...

    question about medical report.

I would send the medical with your application. Often you have to resubmit medical as it expires by the time they work on the documents in the country where the applicant lives. They will send you a email or letter asking for medical at that time. As far as I know you have to go to a from Canada...
