hello friends,

I have some questions regarding filling sponsorship application form. I shall truly appreciate your answers.

1. On form IMM 1344 (Application to sponsor, sponsorship agreement and undertaking) on line 6 b it does ask to provide the date on which u got married. My situation is we finished court marriage in USA back in OCTober 2011 and on jan 2012 we both came to our home country and finished our wedding program accordiing to our tradition. I have the marriage certificate from USA and also the one from our home country. Now which date should I put as date on which we got married?

2. On form IMM 5540 E (Sponsor Questionnaire)on line 8 it asks have you resided in country other than Canada? It has 4 columns with a table to provide the country and address of residence. I lived in 6-7 different address in USA and 2 different addresses in my home country. IS it necessary to provide every single address of my residence from the past? if yes how do I add all those addresses? use a seperate paper to list all those address? please let me know. thank you so much.

If I put oct 2011 as date we got married which was in USA but really didnt have any kind of reception. we just exchanged ring in court. the reception was on jan 2012 in our home country. will there be any issues if wedding reception is 3 months after the wedding date? any idea

Just explain all the way you did here and it should be fine. It does not matter when the reception happened. Just document everything on a timeline and explain why you both did what you did. You will be fine.
