Do Permanent Residents need an ESTA?

Why should your PR status in Canada should have anything to do with travelling in the United States? The PR card is for Canada and proves your permanent resident status in Canada. Why should it do anything for the US?

Want to travel but my documents expired

Current processing times for BOWPs are ~4 months, so you won't get it in time when you come back from your travels. You can find more information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/validity/implied.asp

    Change address after Landing

I would change the address online. However you can also go to Canada Post and have them redirect all your mail from your old address to your new address. This way you can make sure that you will receive your PR card no matter where CIC is mailing it to!

PR final stages - time questions

I paid the same, sounds right to me. Super annoying, if our PR would've gone accordingly to timelines and wouldn't be slowed down by EXPRESS (haha) entry, then we wouldn't have to support the canadian immigration department with another few $$...

PR final stages - time questions

You definitely had to apply for BOWP, otherwise you would be out of status if you don't get PPR/COPR by the end of june. I'm not sure if you can get a refund for the BOWP application. Maybe if they haven't started working on your BOWP application by the time PR is approved?
