Just got off the phone with a CIC agent. I told him my common-law partner's situation... and then asked him "do you know when things will start to speed up? in the last 3 or 4 months it seems like there has only been 4 or 5 days of progress..the move to Mississauga was supposed to speed things...

You will be fine. You have not sponsored her yet , and if you have, then you can cancel it anytmie by calling the CIC. In terms of the divorce.. i think you have to be separated for 1 year. She's in India, you're in Canada you have PR, she doesnt...just relax..focus on your life and yourself...

So how does that work? You were here on a temporary visa...got married and then your visa expired but you are allowed to stay?

my common law partner is from japan. She had to order copies from the embassy. Police checks etc.

We had two AIP's last week (or was it AIP + DM) .. I thought CPC-M was starting up.....i assumed that we'd have a whole bunch of AIPs today... I wonder why there's been no more good news... Maybe they're reviewing today and the ones who were looked at today will get the good news tomorrow...

YES!! more people are getting AIP / DM and calls from MISSISSAUGA OFFICE! i'm super super super stoked.!!!! I'm a sept applicant / AOR in early Oct.... i'm guessing i'll hear something back by the end of July or possibly early August!!! wootwoot!!

OMFG!! Mississauga has issued an AIP!! I believe that is the FIRST one we've heard. I'm super excited! Now the only question is..... WILL Mississauga process them as quickly as Vegriville did before the files were transferred??? The transfer letter stated that the REASON they moved them...
