JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I asked CIC about linking my application to MyCIC and he informed me that I wouldn't be able to link it until after SA. Pfft. I know that's not the case. He also said that he would send me an email regarding linking and I still haven't received that either. We went over my email address at...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Congrats to everyone who received their SA's this morning. I called CIC...sigh. They are going to send a note to the caseworker informing them that I never received the correspondence and to resend it. So it looks like there will be a delay in SA. C'est la vie.

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

If the Principal applicant is in process, you should receive your SA email very soon. They don't start processing PA until then, so you are moving forward.

I'm not sure. There should be a thread for that VO somewhere in the forum. I'm sure they have a better idea of a timeline.

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I have the exact same thing with the same date and I haven't received any correspondence from them yet. I don't have a representative save for being the representative for my husband.

Did you answer "no" to question number 3?

2015 parents immigration passed sponsorship, what if getting married?

A case specific enquiry to let them know of the change in your situation.

    Spousal sponsorship

I believe you get six months to a year to land. I could be wrong though. A lot depends on the expiration date on the passport and the expiration on the medical exam. So there is some time to get your things together. ;)

***JULY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS***

I would say it is a 50/50 chance. Provide plenty of proof of ties to Russia. They will want to know that you will return when the TRV expires. I hope some more experienced members will answer this as well. I believe there is also a thread on getting a TRV while waiting for PR. Best wishes.

    Spousal sponsorship

If you have an application with no red flags and it is a simple one, it is taking 3-4 months currently for Americans to get their PR. I would wait to apply until March or April 2017.
