Hey was just wondering if any of you have some experience with this or have any info... My husband has a Bachelor´s degree from a private university here in Mexico...in International Commerce, he has his cedula profesional and everything. We are thinking it probably won´t be valid in Canada...

The doctor we went to in Mexico City said he was sending the medical results to Ottawa...not sure if they get sent to somewhere else afterwards... @itscoezy: All we got professionally translated were our marriage certificate, husband´s birth certificate and state police check. Emails and...

So sorry to hear the news Grice! There must be a solution though, I mean it wasn´t your fault you didn´t get the letter and then all that stuff with the cartilla! Everything will work out in the end! I totally felt the earthquake, I was in UNAM and we got evacuated from the building for...

Does anyone know the address of the embassy to ask things about the application? On the sponsorship approval letter it says its on Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra but I thought the embassy was on Schiller? I´m heading to Mexico city tomorrow on some unrelated stuff and thought that if I have time...

Yes the news can be terrifying, but in my experience it really is not as bad as they make it look. Oaxaca is pretty safe in my opinion. Here in Veracruz it was pretty bad for a while last summer, for a few months but it has called down quite a bit now! I would say it would be safe to visit...

Yes, if she is a Canadian Citizen she can sponsor you, but she will have to submit proof that she is planning on going back to Canada. I am Canadian living in Mexico with my husband and I was approved as a sponsor! :)

oh wow! It was nice of them to think of the problems it could have caused for your husband! It´s too bad he can´t get the visitors visa though, but just a little more patience and everyone will be in Canada! :D

How long after application arrives till answer?

I would not worry about that! I don´t think they would send it back because a date isn´t on the cover letter ( I didn´t even do a cover letter and was approved!) I know it can be stressful, Just try to relax and wait for an answer! Good luck!

How long after application arrives till answer?

You will not be able to log in online until you get the sponsorship approval letter, with the UCI number (or even sometimes until a few days after you get the letter). Right now on the website it says 55 days from when they received the application. You will not hear anything from them until...

Hi and welcome! About the CURP...I´m not sure because I can´t remember the form...but are you given the option of using a different ID like a passport? If so I would use that. Let me see if I can answer some of your other questions -Family members that would need to go for the medicals...

Just guessing but I think the cartilla liberada is completely independent of actually joining the military or whatever... here in mexico military service is required for all males when they turn 18...I was told something about how there is a random draw where they take out blue green or black...

    Medicals sent to Ottawa

Don´t worry that happened to me! We went for the medicals and the doctor said he wa going to send to Ottawa. I asked if it shouldn´t be to Mississauga or Mexico city office, and he told me no...that they go to Ottawa. And now on the CIC website it says that our medicals have been received. I´m...
