For the first stage outland it is updated once a week usually on wednesdays! I think the secong stage is updates less frequently....usually the second stage goes a little faster than what it says on the website. The first stage is pretty accurate though.

How long does it usually take to get AOR from Mexico City after it has been approved in Misissauga? I was approved as a sponsor on January 31st and we haven´t heard anything from Mexico since then. Is there anything we could be doing now to get ready for whatever comes next?

My husband had to get one for when we got married...and I think it cost a little over 100 pesos and they had it ready 3 days after we requested it. (This was in Veracruz)

I think what they mean is a ¨certified birth certificate¨ you get them at the Registro Civil in the city you were born! They are fairly easy to get, I forget how much they cost though...not much.

It is a form that they sell in any small ¨papeleria¨. All they have to do is fill it in! Someone correct me if I´m wrong!

This is what mine said for the first few days after I got sponsorship approval. After a week or so more stuff appeared, like my address and the status of the application. So I say just wait a week or so and it should show more! :)

I received AOR a few days before I got my approval for sponosorship. I wasn´t able to log in to ECAS until a few days after the sponsorship approval. My number dosen´t have a hyphen either. It´s just an 8 digit number.

This is what the email said when they sent my sponsorship approval! you have to open the attachment on the email and there will be a letter there probably saying that you have been approved! good luck! :D

I have lived in D.F. and in Veracruz! D.F. is ok really, you have to worry about assaults and people robbing things etc...things that would happen in any big city. I lived there for 2 years and nothing ever happened to me. The border towns and some other places are a bit more dangerous...

Yes my husband is in Mexico and I am here living with him right now, I have been here for almost 3 years on a student visa! But it will expire in August! Hopefully they won´t call him for an interview and he can just go straight to Canada! It would be a big hassle to have to go back to Mexico!

I think it will be faster than that! We are going through the same office and looks like we are only 1 day apart!

It was 57 days in total....on the website it says 74! It hink the FBI is only for people have been to the United St<tes.

I got sponsorship approval this morning and our application has been sent to Mexico City! The firt step went faster than I expected...hopefully the second step will too! :D
